At our meeting on January 6, Murray McLennan from the Prostate Cancer Support Group gave a short presentation regarding the need for
prostate examination for men, as prostate cancer is the most common cancer to affect men. There is a support group which meets monthly,
with excellent speakers and research professionals. Socials, including spouses, are held frequently, the last one being at Legion 594 on
Howard Avenue. If caught early, there is a 90% survival rate for prostate cancer. If one life is saved through early detection, the Windsor
Essex County Prostate Cancer Support Group will have succeeded in its mandate. Murray can be reached at 519 735-5162.
